A new page about the latest "End Time" - Will the world end in 2012? Is it the end of an era and the beginning of a new "age of enlightenment?" Is it just another theory of little or no significance?
A page about extraterrestrials, UFO's, abduction, and the possible ramifications of benign or hostile life forms from off world locales. While we may cover the warm-fuzzy aspects as well, we're more concerned with the mean nasties.
Chicken Little: Extinction Level Event
Meteors, asteroids, comets, rogue planets and space debris. Stuff hits the earth's atmosphere every day. Occasionally it's something BIG, but even the small stuff can ruin your day...
When civil disobedience and mob mentality get out of hand, there's little you can do to stop it - but there are things you can do to survive it.
"Conventional," in this sense, means the more "honorable" type of warfare that does not include the use of nuclear, biological or chemical weapons.
Civil War {Is a New One Coming?}
Civil wars are generally between rival factions in a single country and, while they may involve outside entities, do not spread beyond the borders of the country in which the conflict originally occurs.
If it happened once (1929) it can happen again - despite all safeguards emplaced. Keep in mind that our money - and by extension, our economy - is backed by nothing more than faith. Who says the government has no religion?
Our brain waves share and are attuned to certain frequencies of the Schumann's resonances, the ELF signals that pulsate between the Earth's crust and ionosphere. Some research has suggested that the frequency of the basic Schumann's resonance has recently been rising in value, possibly threatening the whole biosphere, human welfare and our evolutionary future. Or maybe not. We report, you decide (sorry FOX).
History shows us, time and time again, what happens when a governed people becomes apathetic towards or too weak to oppose those who govern them.
SSRsi is really not much into "conspiracy theory" (though we do have a few of our own), mostly due to the huge amount of unsubstantiated fanciful tripe on the net. Because of this, through much diligent (yawn) browsing over thousands of pages of total trash, we've managed to come across a few rational or semi-rational sounding articles ~ and a few interesting sites.
While some believe that the earth continuously produces oil as a biological function of natural law, the "Peak Oil" proponents have gained an ever increasing and vocal popularity.
Pole Shifting ~ Magnetic or Physical
Most scientists scoff at the idea of a physical shifting of the earth's poles, though all agree on wandering magnetic poles and occasional flipping of magnetic north and south. Then again, most scientists used to believe the world was flat...
In a post-apocalyptic setting, leaving perfectly good materials and equipment go to waste is almost as great a crime as taking what you need from others who also need those items to survive. Stealing from others is wrong, recovering usable items which lay to waste is imperative.
