Saddam's Terror Training Camps
What the documents captured from the former Iraqi regime reveal--and why
they should all be made public. Saddam Hussein trained thousands of radical
Islamic terrorists from the region at camps in Iraq over the four years
immediately preceding the U.S. invasion, according to documents and
photographs recovered by the U.S. military in postwar Iraq. The existence
and character of these documents has been confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD
by eleven U.S. government officials.
The
Training of Terrorist Organizations There is no present evidence of a
worldwide terrorist training apparatus. The world has fragmented into numerous
competing camps and terrorist training is conducted along regional, ethnic, and
religious lines. There are many similarities in the training programs of
successful terrorist organizations, and the trends are towards less restraint
and more violent operations.

aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks and report anything
suspicious to law enforcement agencies, with a "heightened sense of
awareness. Once we've won this war or terrorism," says Ashcroft "you can go
back to muddling through life half-awake."

Mexico Tech - a suicide bombing detection and response course for police,
firefighters, and other first responders.

Family Readiness Kit - Preparing to Handle Disasters
The Family Readiness Kit was developed after
talking with over 250 families, like yours. The ideas they shared
were used to make a set of materials which reflect the needs of most
families. Even though all families are unique, this information helps most
of us to understand the basic information about preparing for a disaster.
This kit is for parents to use at home to help prepare for most kinds of
disasters. In most families, mothers are likely to handle this
responsibility. However, other family members often help too - fathers,
grandparents, and even children. And because each family is different,
family members other than Mom may take the lead in helping the family get
ready for a disaster. Each family should handle this in a way they feel
comfortable. Just make sure someone in the family does it.
Terrorism—Preparing for the Unexpected Devastating acts, such as the
terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, have left many
concerned about the possibility of future incidents in the United States and
their potential impact. They have raised uncertainty about what might happen
next, increasing stress levels. Nevertheless, there are things you can do to
prepare for the unexpected and reduce the stress that you may feel now and
later should another emergency arise. Taking preparatory action can reassure
you and your children that you can exert a measure of control even in the
face of such events.
