President

tradition of the Cabinet dates back to the beginnings of the Presidency itself.
One of the principal purposes of the Cabinet (drawn from Article II, Section 2
of the Constitution) is to advise the President on any subject he may require
relating to the duties of their respective offices.

CABINET
OF THE UNITED STATES No American
PRESIDENT can possibly be an expert in all of the administrative areas for which
the executive head of government is responsible. Consequently, a president must
rely on a group of advisers, carefully selected for their knowledge and
experience in various fields, to provide advice and information on the issues
and developments affecting each of the executive departments of government. This
group of advisers is called the cabinet.
