Freedom is just another word...

03/2008
Real ID Act: Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America: Gold @$1000+, Silver@$21: Dollar Plunging: Economic Recession, Housing & Job Shortages, Energy "Crisis" Looming: Food Prices Rising

These are manipulated events - either intentionally (probable) or through incompetence (possible) and you must be prepared for the consequences!

Ladies and gentlemen, in light of current events, it now appears that your self reliant and survival preparations are about to separate you from the masses. Congratulations on your foresight and wisdom.

For those of you getting a late start, you've come to the right place. Here you will find all of the information, skills and items you may need to wrest control of your destiny from the whims of fate or the will of others.

The human world is in turmoil, the effects of millennial mismanagement by the power elite spreading and contaminating the natural order of life. Today, we face most predominantly an economic upheaval. Tomorrow, perhaps, an ecological one. There are natural disasters and extraterrestrial threats - no, I don 't mean aliens (though I don't discount the possibility), but asteroids and comets are a fact of life. Always there looms the spectre of social injustice and political tyranny.

There may yet be time to avert a major economic disaster. There may be a political solution to the turmoil our government has created amongst (and in the name of) its people . It's never to late to turn back the tide of evil. Nor is it ever too late to return to the people those rights and responsibilities usurped by their leadership.

The problem with "freedom" is that so few people actually want it - or believe they can have it.

We have all heard the phrase "freedom is not free," but so often we are lead to misinterpret the nature of the cost. Freedom isn't paid for with Dollars or Euros or Pesos or Rubles. It isn't found in the price of a gallon of gas or the lives paid to secure that supply. Nor is it paid for by blind obedience, ideological fervor, or grudging acceptance of a dominant will - be it social or political.

Freedom demands one thing, and one thing only: Personal Responsibility. All the evils of the world, all of the human vices and all of the miserable systems of government people have suffered under throughout time stem from the failure of the individual to accept personal responsibility for their life and their actions. By delegating or shunting - or forcing - our personal responsibility upon others, we give up our natural rights and freedoms. We trade them for what we perceive to be an easier way of life.

In a sane world, failure to accept personal responsibility would be an offense against nature, punishable by death. Not a penalty imposed by courts, sentenced by judges, or carried out by executioners - but the natural cause and effect result of one's own actions or inactions. In the natural world, this is indeed the way things work.

Is there anything "as free as a bird?" Yet, if a bird fails to feed itself - it dies of starvation. If a bird neglects to keep a sharp eye out for predators, it gets eaten. If it fails to go out and find a mate, overcome alternate suitors and procreate, its' line becomes extinct. No bird government steps in to help the feeble, fickle or lazy bird find a mate. No bird police force protects them from predators. No bird charities bring them food or builds nests for them.

This is how the birds remain strong - and free. The feeble, fickle or lazy birds die out. Their line is not continued, their genetic disposition is not passed on. So it is with all non-domesticated animals.

What happens when a wild animal becomes domesticated? When it is fed and protected by men? It loses its freedom and it loses those qualities - those instincts - it needed to survive in the wild. Usually it is caged or leashed or restricted in its movement. It is allowed to breed only by the design of its master, or it is spayed or neutered to prevent it from breeding. It cannot feed itself, but must rely upon the good will, economic ability, and memory of its master to provide sustenance for it. Having once been domesticated, if this poor creature is then set free into the wild, almost certainly it must die.

Our goal, here at SSRsi, is to stave off the domestication of Man. The only way to do so is to promote the acceptance of Self Responsibility, encourage the practice of Self Reliance, and support the Rights and Freedom of all mankind.

Carpe Diem - "Seize the Day!"
We often feel helpless or ineffectual when considering the state of our world or the nature of our government. The malaise of "I'm just one person," or "My vote doesn't count" is difficult to shake. Few individuals have any concept of just how capable and powerful they really are - and thus, they cease to be capable or powerful. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Witness the "Pyramid of Human Civilization":

Each layer, from the pinnacle to the base is comprised of the layers below it. No higher layer can exist without those below it. The individual is the base which supports the entire structure. The individual is the foundation upon which all civilizations rests and depends.

Of course, this is not what we are led to believe. We are told that all things arise from the singular seed of civilization. That the pyramid is not a pyramid at all - it is a tree, sprouting from a seed, and the individual is merely a leaf on a twig, supported by the branches of government and sustained by the trunk of civilization - you have to flip the pyramid on it's head, balance it on it's point, to get the real picture.

Very well. Have it your way. . . but I have to ask - "What happens to the tree when it loses it's leaves?"

As an individual - be it a leaf or a foundation stone - you are more powerful and important than you ever imagined. This is the secret that all governments and all proponents of civilization and society have tried to keep from your discovering. Without YOU, it all fails, it all falls, it all dies.

The tree analogy is, perhaps, useful for describing how society works, but it is a false analogy. A tree is a thing of nature - society and civilization are manmade. It is a construct of Man, designed to keep nature at bay. In every man-made societal construct - be it business or government - power is siphoned away from the majority of individuals and concentrated upward to ever fewer individuals until one man or a few men hold ultimate power over the fate of many. Or so they would have you believe. Who gives them this power? Who gives them this opportunity? Who gives them this right?

In nature, all of the leaves collect light from the sun and convert it to energy. The sole purpose of the trunk and branches of the tree are to support and distribute the leaves so that they might perform this miracle of energy conversion most efficiently. In nature. a leaf that does not collect and convert sunlight withers, dies and is discarded. It falls to the ground to decompose and thereby nourish the soil from which it came. If this were true of the societal tree, all would be well.

In the "civilized" societal tree however, the majority of leaves (individuals) are parasites. They serve no purpose other than decoration, survive by feeding off of the energy others produce, and often grow so full of themselves that they block the sunlight from reaching the productive leaves. Given the chance to contribute, they wouldn't know how and couldn't perform if they had to. They have lost that function, that capability. But the societal tree sustains them - elevates them even to a higher, more powerful social strata. All of the energy of the productive leaves is expended to increase the number of these parasite leaves, to make them larger, more demanding and more politically valuable than the producers.

There must always be more parasites than producers in a society in order for the leaders of that society to maintain their political power. The parasites support the powerful in order to keep the benefits they gain without having to produce anything. Make no mistake - the parasites are not always the lowly, shifty, ill dressed and surly lot they are made out to be. The largest parasites are often the prettiest flowers on the tree.

The branches of the societal tree (government institutions) grow longer and more convoluted, the trunk of civilization appears to grow thicker and taller - all in an effort to push the productive leaves farther from the core and provide more room for the parasite leaves. Ever greater demands are made for energy, yet fewer and fewer productive leaves exist. This tree cannot support itself indefinitely. Though the trunk grows larger, it's core is rotten and hollow. It gives the impression of great strength, one day it will topple and the "great experiment" must end.

This is the way of society and civilization - any student of history must agree. The average lifespan of a nation is less than 400 years (before it succumbs to revolutionary change). The United States is 221 years old (Constitutionally) on September 17, 2008. This places us quite clearly on the downside of the national lifespan. If we are to survive as a Nation, efforts must be taken shortly to prune our societal tree. If we do not soon weed out the dead weight and prop up the productive members of society , the future of our democratic republic is bleak, indeed.

Lest I be taken the wrong way, I must point out that I am in no way suggesting that we "eliminate the riff-raff" in the conventional sense of the phrase. What we must do, however, is cut off the siphoning of energy from the producers to the non-producers, eliminate the offices and bureaucracies that support this diabolical habit, take back control of our government (if we ever really had control) from the power-blind users, and sit all the slackers down and have a very serious discussion about their future.

One cannot force another human being to be productive and retain any moral justification. What we can do, however, is remain supportive - yet firm - in helping these poor domesticated sods to accept responsibility for themselves and their actions. If they choose death through dependency (when no one is willing to provide for them), then they must be allowed to enjoy the results of their decisions. On the other hand, if they choose to become self reliant, self responsible Citizens of an Independent Nation, then every effort should be taken to make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible.

It'll Never Happen
Of course this will never happen. Not until the entire structure comes tumbling down upon our heads. Then natural selection will weed out the incompetent, the unwary and the unlucky. People will kill each other over a handful of grain - which will probably be wasted in the melee. They will brutalize each other for food, shelter, clothing, water, sex and shiny baubles. Other countries will pounce upon our era of weakness and attempt to steal all that we have left. And it will all happen because "it's too mean" to do the right thing now. "It's too cruel" to force responsibility upon people for their own actions - so we'll just keep heaping that responsibility on other, more capable folks until they can bear it no longer. Until even the best efforts of the capable are unable to meet the demands of the needy parasites.

Funny how those capable of supporting themselves are degraded while being simultaneously petitioned (forced) to pay for the survival of those who will not lift a finger to aid themselves. Funny how no one decries the cruelty inflicted upon the producers. It's okay - they can handle it. They're stronger than the others. They will find a way to get by.

Personally, I'm sick of it. I'm ready to say "no." I'm ready to withhold my support from the non-producers - which includes every member of the government (who produce NOTHING but ever greater demands and more torturous requirements for meeting their demands). I'm ready to tell them all to do it themselves or go straight to hell, because they are not getting another ounce of effort out of me in their support.

What I want to know is - am I alone? Or are there hundreds, thousands, or millions of others out there who feel the same way that I do?
